Drivers plying the Molo-Njoro road are urging the Kenya Highways Authority to expand the road in an effort to curb accidents.
On Saturday, two people were badly injured after a Nissan matatu hit a motorbike along the road.
Another private car lost control and rammed into an oncoming saloon car and veered off to a bush near the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology.
“This road is very narrow and full of potholes. This is what is causing all these accident, where is the government?” George Mwaura, a driver asked.
The road, after the Noro interchange off the Nakuru-Eldoret highway, is in bad condition all the way to Molo town making it a nightmare to drivers.
A few weeks ago, two people were killed at Kenyatta area along the road as a private car tried to avoid hitting a pothole but collided head-on with a matatu.
“Where is KenHA? They only demolished illegal structures on the road reserves and promised an expansion but they disappeared, are they waiting for many people to dies and come here with crocodile tears?” Jane Wanjiru said.
