Migori Governor Okoth Obado appears as a troubled man who is fighting battles from each side.
The county chief needs a helping hand to come out of his challenges, some of which are political and another of criminal nature.
Here are the people who the Governor should keep close for safety.
1. His lawyers
With murder charges still handing over his head over his alleged involvement in the killing of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno, Obado will need his lawyers to survive.
Though the next hearing has been pushed until early next year after his release on bail on Wednesday, he will need legal advise on how to go about the remaining past of the case.
He will need them to advise him and keep him on track in sticking to his bail conditions which were issued by High Court Judge Jessie Lesiit before his release from remand.
The county boss was advised to among others, not engage in any move aimed at interfering with witnesses involved in his case.
2. Raila Odinga
Before his arrest in September, Obado had brought himself out as a rebel in the county which remains largely allied to opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Without regaining Raila's trust, he will be subjected to a series of political battles with the remaining Nyanza leaders, most of whom are allied to Raila.
Consequently, he will find himself engaged in constant fights, resulting to poor service delivery to his people as he will have very little time to work.
3. Supporters
Obado needs to pull his supporters nearer as he embarks on completing the remaining portion of his tenure.
And since his hands are now slightly tied, he will need maximum support from them.
