In an interview on Radio Jambo Tuesday noon, Junior declared that he has no political intentions currently, despite being viewed as his successor.

He noted that despite the pressure he is under from Raila's supporters to take over from the ageing former Prime Minister, he will not be joining soon and shouldn't be expected to in approaching 2022 general elections.

"People have been pushing and expecting me to take over but I do not have such plans for the near future. I will not be vying for any seat in the 2022 elections," said Junior.

He added that his main intention currently is to grow his business empire and might make political considerations in the undisclosed far future.

"Right now I am in the business and I intend to keep it so for the coming years," he added.

Attention shifted on Junior (39) after the death of his elder brother Fidel Castro Odinga who was more politically active and more frequent on Raila's side.

Raila's elder daughter Rosemary also showed political intentions in the run-up to the 2017 polls before sickness struck, forcing her out of the Kibra parliamentary race.
