Citizen Digital reports that the burial which was postponed at the eleventh hour was supposed to have 10 priests and a Rabbi according to the Jewish religion. However, only eight priests were present at the site.

Cohen, who was high up in the religious hierarchy could therefore not be buried.

According to the Jewish religion, 10 priests each with their own verses will be required to bury him.

The burial was postponed to Tuesday, at 2.30 pm at the Jewish cemetery in Nairobi.

Cohen's widow Sarah Wairimu had been allowed by a Nairobi Court to attend his burial.

She will have to seek court's permission again to attend to his burial on Tuesday

Lawyer Philip Murgor will table another request at the court to have her out of the Lang’ata Women’s Prison where she is remanded to attend to her husband's burial.

Wairimu is the main suspect in the murder of the Dutch billionaire.

On the other hand, Cohen's sister, Gabrielle Van Straten will not attend the burial

She flew out of the country on Saturday even after being at the forefront of his funeral arrangements.

Gabrielle jetted out after Cohen's will was opened.

According to her lawyer Cliff Ombeta, Gabrielle with her husband flew back to the Netherlands due to personal reasons.
