Speaking in an interview on Milele FM on Thursday, the controversial artist revealed that he deployed the prank in order to see the people who don't wish him well.

"I wanted to see how many people, of course I know there are people who don't wish me well, but I wanted to really see those who don't wish me well. (Nilikuwa nataka kuona ni watu wangapi, of course najua watu hunitakia mabaya, but nlikuwa nataka kuona wale hunitakia mabaya)," Willy Paul said in a video shared on YouTube. (Video 0:37-1:02)

The artist thanked Kenyans for the support and the love that they showed him by going to Alaine's page to plead with her to unblock him.

Willy Paul set social media platforms afire with chatter last week with the prank as Kenyans reacted with amusement.

It became apparent that it was a prank after the two artists released a song titled 'Shado Mado' which has chalked up over 700,000 views on YouTube.

The artiste revealed that he was keen on breaking into the international music scene by seeking collaborations with globally renowned musicians.
