Owalo, who was in company of party leader Musalia Mudavadi among other leaders had their campaign convoy pelted with stones at Kamukunji grounds.

Not long ago, Jubilee party candidate for Kibra by elections McDonald Mariga also had his convoy stoned by angry youths.

The Senate Leader of Majority has questioned why no arrests have been made even after a section of ODM leaders were recording inciting their supporters.

''Violence meted on Owalo & Mariga is being condoned & sanitized coz It’s perpetrated by the politically correct “father of democracy & good governance.

"No wonder Junet & Mbadi haven’t recorded any statement even after outright acts of incitement to violence ostensibly to protect handshake,'' said Kipchumba Murkomen.

In his statement, Murkomen indirectly attached ODM leader Raila Odinga to the chaos being witnessed in Kibra against other party rallies.

On the same day Owalo's convoy was stoned, Ford Kenya and ODM supporters had a stand off over a rally venue at Bukhungu Stadium in Kibra.

The incidents come at a time candidates and political parties have been argued to carry out peaceful campaigns ahead of the 7 November, 2019 elections.
