Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale has castigated Trade Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya over his insistence that La Mada meetings will continue.
Khalwale noted that Central Kenya residents are entitled to development regardless of Munya and his colleagues lobbying for the same.
"Mr C/S @PeterMunya, stop insisting on La Mada Hotel basement meetings. The people of Mt Kenya deserve development and are not expected to beg/scheme for it through clantistine (sic) meetings," he tweeted.
He reminded Munya that his post is to serve the people of Kenya and not Central Kenya alone.
"You are a Minister, not of Mt Kenya, but of the Republic of Kenya. Style up!" he scoffed at Munya.
Munya on Thursday asserted that La Mada meetings would continue amid Deputy President William Ruto's assassination allegations.
Last month, Munya together with Sicily Kariuki (Health), James Macharia (Transport), and Joe Mucheru (ICT) were accused of hatching a plot to eliminate the DP.
They refuted the claims and termed it as political machination by DP Ruto's camp.
