ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has disclosed the agenda of the upcoming Bukhungu Building Bridges Initiative (BBI ) meeting.
In a tweet on Friday morning, Etale noted that the event which is scheduled to take place on Saturday was the largest one ever in Western region and significant to the politics of the community and the entire country. Link:https://twitter.com/EtalePhilip/status/1218042357075120129?s=20
The ODM official said that the region would have a chance to articulate their position on the BBI report.
Further, Etale asserted that the region would deliberate on the political and socioeconomic issues affecting the region.
"It will be the biggest gathering ever for the BBI in the region. The people of Western will have the opportunity to air their views on the BBI report, the Kenya they want and talk about the region’s needs." noted Etale.
He called on all Kenyans to attend the function.
A host of leaders from Western region and other parts of the country have confirmed attendance.
A section of leaders from the region had organised a parallel meeting in Mumias to discuss the economic needs of Western Kenya. The meeting permit has since been revoked by police.
