Nominated MCA Irene Mayaka travelled to Addis Ababa on Thursday moments after meeting President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in Nairobi.
Ms Mayaka is one of the remaining five contestants of Ms President Reality TV show, which advocates for women leadership in electoral processes.
At Ruiru on Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta gave the five contestants an opportunity to address the nation as part of his support to women leadership.
Canadian government and European Union are the main sponsors of the competition which culminates in pronouncement of the winner on July 31st.
In a phone conversation, Ms Mayaka said she had been deployed by her ODM party to represent it in women conference in Addis Ababa.
"I am happy that the party has given me opportunity to attend women conference in Ethiopia. The conference brings together passionate African women who are interested on matters social equity," she said.
Earlier at Ruiru, Ms Mayaka, who was nominated to the assembly in April after two years of court battle, said she is confident that Kenyans would vote her.
"I am happy to be invited here by H. E the president. I hope that I will be voted to be first Ms President. One day, this country will have a female president," she said amid laughter.
The winner will have the two organisations initiating a mega project in her home county, a move that has even made governments to have an interest in the competition.
Others in the race are Nereah Amondi of Homa Bay, Betty Adera from Nairobi, Waruguru Kiai of Nyeri and Umulkher Mohammed from Garissa County.
