Gospel ragga/dancehall singer JFam has addressed claims that fellow gospel musician Hopekid removed him from his latest song "Control Me" which was released a few days ago.
During an interview at Radio Citizen’s Mambo Mseto show, Hopekid revealed that JFam was supposed to feature in Control Me, but he edited him out.
He claimed that JFam's verse didn't please him and that's why he removed him from his video.
“JFam inserted a verse that didn't please me. I listened to it and saw my brother was a joker, he was in the video but I edited him out (JFam aliweka verse flani sikuifeel, niliiskiza nikaona huyu ndugu akona mchezo, alikuwa kwa video but nikam edit out),” said Hopekid.
Speaking to Edaily on Tuesday, JFam rubbished Hopekid's claims stating that he willingly opted out of the song as it didn't suit his style of music.
He further revealed that he is disappointed over Hopekid's remarks about editing him out of the song. He termed his remarks as disrespectful. JFam further noted that he is the one who wrote the song for Hopekid.
“I wrote the song for him, but I felt it was not my style of music so I let him do the whole song by himself,” he said.
“It’s sad when someone talks like that on air, I’ve actually written a couple of songs for Hopekid, since 2016 till now I’ve helped him a lot," he added.
