Deputy President William Ruto has reportedly called for a meeting with Rift Valley leaders to curb rebellion that has seen him lose lieutenants.
For the last few months, a section of Rift Valley leaders have openly criticized Ruto of sabotage and even vowed to campaign against him.
"I am off to US to tell our community that we can't elect a thief," said Alfred Keter.
Other than Keter, Moiben's Silas Tiren, Kangogo Bowen of Marakwet East, Johanna Ng'eno of Emurua Dikir and William Kamket of Tiaty have been leading pro-Gideon Moi campaigns.
And a threatened Ruto according to a Nyamira politician close to him, says he will be meeting a host of leaders in Sugoi later this month.
"There is a rift from within and he is now concerned. There will be a meeting later on this month.
"He will discuss the bigger problem and come with an agreement. Even rebels have been invited," he said.
Those incharge of the arrangement include Henry Kosgey, Kipchumba Murkomen and Jackson Mandago.
Others include Senators Samson Cherargei (Nandi) and Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho).
The DP is facing rebellion from the Rift Valley even with the ongoing intrigues from within Jubilee party.
Last month, Murkomen accused unnamed individuals in OP for allegedly orchastrating Ruto's downfall.
