Kibra MP Imran Okoth has officially handed over the Moi Girls ablution block to the school's administration.
The block, which bore a white and blue paint coat, was constructed using Constituency Development Fund (CDF) monies.
The handing over was announced on Friday by the area Okoth on his Twitter feed.
According to the tweet, the ablution block is made up of 28 units that includes 4 bathrooms and 2 cubicles.
"Today we officially handed over an ablution block at Moi Girls School Nairobi. The installation consists of 28 units (including four bathrooms and two cubicles)," the MP's tweet read.
The unveiling of the block is consistent with Okoth's stated policy of improving and ensuring the students from Kibra have access to quality education.
During his campaign for office, he pledged to build on the progress made by his late brother Ken Okoth in education.
About a week ago, the MP held interviews for pupils who had scored over 350 marks in last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) but come from poor backgrounds.
On January 9, he handed over the refurbished buildings of Toi Primary School which had been in a state of dilapidation.
