Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has been the latest leader to weigh-in on the recent verbal exchange between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi.

The two have over the last week tied in a bitter exchange after Sudi accused Uhuru of involvement in graft.

Responding on Wednesday last week, Uhuru dared the firebrand parliamentarian to take his evidence to the relevant authorities and report him for the alleged wrongdoings.

But speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi Show Wednesday morning, Kega took issue with Sudi for challenging the President, accusing him.of disrespect.

"It's very sad that the MP can engage the President in a verbal exchange. This is a disrespect to the President's image as the symbol of national unity," he warned.

He added that Sudi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, also crossed the boundary by ignoring the difference in power and age between himself and Kenyatta.

"It was very wrong for him to ignore their age differences and disregarded the power and image the Presidency carries with it," added Kega.

Sudi was speaking with relations to with the reignited corruption purge which himself and a section of fellow Rift Valley leaders claim is targeting a section of area leaders.
