On Thursday, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna revealed that the political outfit is ready to make all sorts of sacrifices to ensure the Raila Amolo Odinga-led team emerges victorious in the contest.

Sifuna said that more than 20 MPS allied to Raila will transverse the region to woo voters to back the candidature of Karan in the forthcoming by-elections.

He also revealed that the party, which enjoys massive support from the region, will reach out to all registered voters to ensure Karan wins the seat with a landslide.

“I will be in Ugenya this weekend. We have deployed the leadership and structure of the party up to the polling stations to ensure we get the vote out,” Mr Sifuna said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

ODM National Chairman John Mbadi echoed Sifuna’s remarks.

The by-election comes after Karan’s win was nullified. The court cited massive illegalities and irregularities in the process before it overturned the results.

The other candidates in the by-election are Brian Omondi (Thirdway Alliance), David Ochieng (Movement for Growth and Democracy) and Daniel Juma (Grand Dream Development)
