Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has engaged war of words with United States of America Ambassador to Kenya, Kyle McCarter, on social media.
It started when Miguna criticised the envoy after he held a meeting with renowned businessman Chris Kirubi to discuss youth employment.
The lawyer blasted McCarter for interacting with Kirubi, whom he described as a looter, and went ahead to list the companies he has allegedly looted.
"You seem to have started wrongly in your new appointment. You are clearly spending too much time with the looters of Kenya. Kirubi did not work for his immense wealth: he stole it from Kenyans. He bankrupted Kenatco and Kenya Airways. Change course or Kenyans will chase you away," he tweeted.
In a quick rejoinder, the Ambassador told off Miguna, and defended his character which he termed as unquestionable.
"You don’t know me well enough sir to question my integrity. Those that do know me and all I have done in my life wouldn’t even think about questioning it as you have. It is not best to debate on Twitter. We both care for Kenya. Let’s agree on that," he responded.
The stubborn Miguna stood his ground and informed the Ambassador that he was questioning his integrity since he has been keeping 'bad' company.
He quoted Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti and McCarter's predecessor Bob Godec.
"You are correct that I don't know you well. However, I questioned your integrity based on the images you published with Kirubi (a looter), George Kinoti (a convicted criminal who disobeys court orders) and Bob Godec who helped Uhuru Kenyatta steal the 2017 election," Miguna tweeted on Sunday.
