Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has responded to the ejection of Lawyer Miguna Miguna from Air France Airline Plane. In a tweet on Wednesday, Ledama asked the government to come clean on the issue of the return of the firebrand lawyer.
The senator said that doublespeak on an important issue like this one shows that the government is not keen on protecting the interests of Kenyans in different ways. He asked the government to respect court orders and show maturity where it matters most.
“So we now speak from both sides? I heard the Government Spokes Person Col (Rtd) Oguna ( a disciplined Military Man) stating that the Govt will respect court orders and facilitate @MigunaMiguna return to Kenya if that’s the case why this can someone demonstrate maturity,” he said.
Air France had apologized to Miguna after asking him to leave the plane moments before its departure. Miguna has been left stranded in Germany after Lufthansa airline refused to allow him aboard their plane to Kenya.
“Dear Mr. Miguna, we confirm that at the request of the Kenyan authorities, we were obliged to deny boarding. Like all airlines, Air France is required to comply with the entry requirements for the countries it serves,” Air France tweeted.
Miguna has been decrying violation of his rights. He has lamented that he deserves better treatment because he is also a Kenyan just like any other.
Further, in response to the tweet, Miguna Miguna went on the bash President Uhuru calling him a "despot".
"Despot Uhuru Kenyatta is their boss, owner and conductor. Mention him first. No cowardice! #DespotsMustFall #RevolutionNow" read the tweet.
