Speaking on Saturday in Marigat, Baringo County, Ruto claimed Raila has already sensed defeat in Kibra, and has resorted to seek reinforcement from other sides.

Ruto said things have gotten tough for Odinga in Kibra; a constituency believed to be his political bedrock, having represented it for years during his stint as Lang'ata MP.

"If you see someone asking for help in the bedroom, you should know that things are thick. Isn't it? It should be every man for himself in the bedroom. If you see a man asking for reinforcement, things are not going well. (Ukiona mtu ameuliza usaidizi kwa bedroom ujue mambo kimeumana. Si mambo ya bedroom mtu anajitetea. Lakini ukiona mwanaume ameitisha reinforcement mambo kiumemana kule kwa bedroom)," he said.

He made the remarks after various leaders from different political parties stormed Kibra and vowed to support OD candidate Imran Okoth.

So far; KANU led by Senator Gideon Moi, NARC led by Governor Charity Ngilu, Maendeleo Chap Chap led by Governor Alfred Mutua, and a section of Jubilee leaders have thrown their weight behind ODM candidate Imran Okoth.

The by-election is set to be held on Thursday, November 7.
