Mombasa is a port city full of talent. Unfortunately, artists here do not receive recognition like their Nairobi counterparts.
This fact has forced some of them to relocate to the capital city to push their music lamp high enough to be recognised.
Below are three beautiful and super talented female musicians from Mombasa.
1. Serah Sarah
Serah Sarah is one of the best talents Mombasa has ever produced. She started her music career as a vocalist based in Dubai. She featured Duzla in the great Cheza Kidogo hit, which was immediately followed by an icebreaker, Kayumbet. Her 'Dance with Me' hit saw her cross boarders to West Africa and featured Nigeria’s Ice Prince.
2. Judy Mbatha
Gospel lovers at the coast enjoy inspirational lyrics from Judy Mbatha. The 2016, Pwani celebrity Awards Female gospel artist of the year winner has maintained sanity in her songs. She is the brains behind 'Unaweza Bwana' and 'Nitayainua Macho'.
3. Sis P
Sis P has some special kind of confidence and works hard to make her music go places. She has 'Bullet Love' and 'Uchoyo' as some of her admirable hits. Additionally, her liberal mind led to the release of the controversial 'Bonge La Bwana'.
