The Deputy President Dr William Ruto has hit hard on his critics terming them as the Lords of poverty who are only after making Kenyans poor.
Speaking at Ekerenyo in Nyamira during a fundraiser of one of the women's SACCO, Ruto vowed to continue helping Kenyans to uplift their living standards.
"Let me remind you am the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya. My work is to make sure government projects are completed. That is why am here today," said Ruto.
The DP defended his countrywide trips, arguing that he's only concerned with uplifting the poor besides launching projects.
"There are so many people who dont want development and Harambees to help Women to start SACCO and businesses. They want Kenyans to continue being poor," he argued.
"I heard them complaining about Harambees. They just want things to remain the same for their own benefit. We shall ensure that they are defeated," he added.
The DP also maintained that Kenyans will make decisions in 2022 based on the most performing people who will be in the race.
