Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has referred to President Uhuru Kenyatta as a political genius who has been able to fend off his competitors.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Ahmednasir reiterated that Uhuru is not keen on amending the constitution so as to award himself a third term.
However, the lawyer believes that in case Uhuru decides to run again, then he would no have competition since Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula will all be fighting to head his campaign team.
The lawyer further commended the president for bringing together and uniting former KANU leaders together as the country celebrates Moi day today.
"H.E Uhuru doesn't want to amend the constitution & run for a 3rd term but he has emasculated, humiliated & cut to size all his political competitors that if he decides to run for a 3rd term, Hon Raila, Ruto, Musyoka, Mudavadi, Wetengula will fight over who will spearhead that campaign," tweeted the lawyer.
He added, "I have said many times...& I will repeat it again & again...H.E Uhuru is a political genius...on this fateful Moi day he has brought together & United all former KANU luminaries, Uhuru, Ruto, Baba, Kalonzo, Awori, Gidi, Wetengula...KANU JUU."
