Twilight girls have been warned against invading Kisii town during this long December holiday.
Kisii Central OCPD Francis Nguli said twilight girls should keep off the streets in town especially at night.
Nguli said the sex trade may be at the peak during the long December holiday because schools have closed.
"We will be vigilant to ensure school girls don't invade streets within the town at night to operate as commercial sex workers. Whoever who will be caught will face the law alone," he said.
The OCPD further called on parents to keep a close watch on their children to ensure they don't sneak at night from their houses to attend disco 'matangas' and nightclubs.
Nguli said nightclubs found accommodating underage girls will be closed down and owners be apprehended to face prosecution.
"The long December holiday doesn't mean prostitution to be high. Those girls who will take advantage of the long holiday to venture into the sex trade must know the law will not spare them," he added.
The police boss assured that security will be tight 24 hours to ensure no one causes disturbance to the town residents.
He noted that illicit brewers caught selling chang'aa to school children will be met with the full force of the law.
