City lawyer Donald Kipkorir has bashed a section of Narok politicians for not using the golden opportunity to host this year's Madaraka Day to join others in unifying and healing the country.
Kipkorir claims leaders in the county are busy abusing the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in what he termed as 'insanity'.
He suggested that the state should block Narok from hosting the event.
"Many times, our President, Uhuru Kenyatta has said he believes in the Handshake with Raila Odinga...Madaraka Day, a National Day that is led by the President is to be held in Narok. Today, all Narok Political Leaders Met & rubbished Baba ... State House should cancel Narok," tweeted Kipkorir.
This comes after Narok Woman Representative Soipan Tuya and Narok East MP Ken Aramat hit out at the ODM leader, linking him with the fake gold scam.
Speaking in Narok East Constituency on Saturday when DP Ruto visited the area to launch several projects, Tuya said there is compelling evidence to link the former Premier with the fake gold scam and wanted him to record a statement.
“We call on the investigating agencies to do their work over the fake gold. If Mr Odinga does not record a statement, then we would know that the DCI is engaging in a cover-up,” the Woman Rep was quoted by Citizen Digital.
Amarat on his part criticised Raila of 'pretending' to be championing against corruption yet he is linked to one of the major scams to happen.
This year's Madaraka Day is set to be hosted in Narok as part of the ongoing arrangement by the government to hold the national events in counties.
