Having no friends to lean on when you need support can be demoralising and is a situation that is likely to usher in loneliness to your life.
However, do not despise yourself simply because you don't have any friends.
Here's what you can do if you have no friends.
1. Do not worry about numbers
When you have no friends, the number of friends you should have does not matter. One friend is much better than none. Do not worry about forming a connection with different people all at once. Start small, either with one or two friends, then slowly work on building new relationships.
If you are unable to keep the two, check what you could be doing that is driving them away and try to solve the issue before you look for new friends.
2. Turn your passions to sources of making friends
Taking part in group activities involving your interests and what you are passionate about could be the path of making friends. Meeting new people with common interests is not only fun but you will also have an opportunity to make friends.
3. Find that deeper connection
Once you have made a few friends, you can introduce them to each other. Try the best way you can to form a deep connection with these friends. A connection that will keep them by your side in case you are faced with the worst in life.
