Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula has said that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report needs to be popularized further.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, Wetangula said that the report has not reached many Kenyans as it was supposed to be. He noted that he wants the report to be spread to people from different walks of life.
On the issues of the Mumias Parrallel rally organized by Deputy President William Ruto's allies, Wetangula argued that they never confirmed that they were going to attend the same at the end of the day.
“At no time did Mudavadi or myself tell anybody that we were going to Mumias. We had only declared our reservation in the manner in which the BBI agenda was being driven and that remains an issue for discussion...BBI has not reached as many Kenyans as it should be” he said.
On the implementation of the report, Wetangula said that there is the need to come up with a matrix for the same. He argued that the process can involve some changes in policy while others can be undertaken through the parliamentary means.
"Whatever the deficiencies, the BBI implementation matrix must include issues that can be implemented through policy changes and those that can be changed through legislative processes," he said.
