King of comedy Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill got a rare gift during the Churchill Show recording Kiwanja Ndege, in Bungoma County last week.
On Friday, Churchill and his crew took the show to Bungoma for the first time, and the King of comedy was surprised to receive a sack of onions from one loyal fan.
“There’s also another lady from Cheptais, she brought me a whole sack of onions to take home,” Churchill said on Sunday.
The lady named Helen Chebet said she decided to give the comedian onions because she knows in Nairobi, people do not plant onions and vegetables.
“You know Nairobi is a big town and there’s no land to plant vegetables and onions. In Mt Elgon, we plant a lot of onions so I decided to bring you a little (Unajua Nairobi ni town kubwa hamna shamba ya kupanda mboga kidogo, kitunguu kidogo nikaona venye Mt. Elgon tunapanda vitunguu mingi at least nikuletee kidogo pia),” said Chebet.
Chebet said she had run away from home in order to attend the show.
“I would like to apologise home because I ran away without them knowing (Naeza taka kuapologise nyumbani sababu nimetoroka bila wao kujua), she said amid tears.
Churchill and his crew later gifted her a brand new phone.
