Renowned Kenyan gospel singer Kevin Mbuvi popularly known as Bahati on Sunday shared the story of a young man who after dropping out of school, travelled to Nairobi with the hope of meeting him.
Bahati while introducing the young man only identified as Peter, narrated that the latter ended up being a watchman after failing to meet him.
"Let me Introduce You to #PETER 18 Years Old from #MghangeVillage in Taita Taveta. He left home almost an year ago after dropping out of High school in form Two due to fee arrears. Peter tells me he left the Village to Nairobi to Come look for Bahati and see if his dream in Music will one day Come true (sic)," Bahati wrote on Instagram.
The young man who has never been to Nairobi left his village and travelled to Nairobi by trailer up to Mlolongo. He then embarked on the mission of searching for Bahati.
"But even after getting to Nai' & finding Our offices somehow he was Unlucky because he's never found me in Studio and that's how he Ended up Working as a Security Guard at Versity Ville Estate in Ruiru as he hopes God will bring an Angel to his rescue," Bahati's narration read.
Bahati further revealed that he had already helped the young man who is talented in singing to record three songs. He, however, stated that he was more keen on helping him go back to school.
