The MP says that the plan to build well-equipped modern classes are afoot under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) kitty.

Speaking when he visited Umusalama Secondary School in Garissa on Tuesday, Duale said that he is committed to improving academic performance in the constituency.

The MP stated that he will work with other leaders and well-wishers to ensure the constituency posts good results in national examinations.

Duale hailed Umusalama Secondary School for posting exemplary results in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

The school topped in Garissa, recording a mean-score of 5.9 points.

Over 44 candidates at the school attained the university entry points.

Duale hailed the school's administration for continued exemplary results in KCSE.

“We are in agreement to build extra classrooms, kitchen, and toilets in the next two months through the NG-CDF,” he tweeted after visiting the school on Tuesday.

The Garissa MP also visited Iftin Primary School in Garissa.

The school managed a mean score of 275 points in last year’s Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) with over 147 students admitted to various secondary schools across the country.
