A Court of Appeal judge has collapsed and died.
Reports from the family indicate that Professor Otieno Odek died at his house in Kisumu.
He was sworn in as Court of Appeal Judge in 2012, one year after he unsuccessfully applied for the position of Supreme Court Judge.
He was born in 1963 in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The late Odek previously served as a lecturer at the University of Nairobi school of law.
Several personalities have mourned the late Odek terming him a great legal mind.
