Magwagwa ward MCA Fred Omayio has announced his future plans in the next general elections in 2022.
Speaking on Saturday at Magwagwa Seventh Day Adventist Church, the MCA said he will vie for Nyamira governorship.
Omayio noted that his track record is development-oriented and he will use this to vie for the county's top seat.
"I would like to state that following my development record in Magwagwa ward - and people have been eager to know my next political move - let me inform them that I am going for the gubernatorial race come 2022," he stated.
He added: "I wish to extend my development record to the entire county at large.I also believe that following my development record in this particular ward, I will earn the seat."
Nyamoita Mokua, the choirmaster of Ikamu church hailed the MCA as an active leader who listens to the grievances of the electorate.
She assured the MCA that the people of Magwagwa ward will walk with him to support his ambition.
Elder Peter Osumo echoed the MCA's move to vie for the county's top seat saying that the people of Nyamira will decide who will lead them.
