Barely a month after his rant against early politicking, President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again lashed out at politicians obsessed with the 2022 general elections debate.

Speaking during the burial of departed lawyer Karanja Kabage in Rongai, Nakuru County on Friday, Uhuru once again warned against premature politicking ahead of the polls.

He bashed people for engaging in useless issues, politics in this context, noting that it is of no use for now as the time is yet to come.

"Stop these endless politics because it is not helping us in any way," he said in his speech.

The president last month warned some unnamed politicians from his Jubilee Party that he would smoke them out and punish them over claims of disrespecting him.

He accused the team, specifically of leaders from his Mt Kenya backyard of substituting service to the people with useless politicking and insulting him in the process.

“This “mikora” (thugs) we’ve chosen and are politicking, let them not think that I am their small boy,” said Uhuru, in what was seen as a shot to allies of his deputy William Ruto.

He has repeatedly called upon politicians to give him time to deliver his campaign promises, though Ruto's allies have continued politicking anyway, as Ruto prepares himself for the race.

Kabage died of cardiac arrest on June 5.
