Taking to his Twitter account, the Canada-based lawyer hit out at Trudeau for hosting President Kenyatta, who he removed a 'dictator'.

“PM @JustinTrudeau: You have once again hosted Kenya's brutal tyrant in Canada. It's hypocritical for you to pretend that you respect human rights when you coddle dictators like Uhuru Kenyatta who routinely disobey court orders, torture, exile and kill their political opponents,” tweeted Miguna.

The Head of State met with the Canadian PM on Tuesday to discuss various issues such as the 'setting up of Coast Guard Unit in Kenya and the establishment of marine aquarium and fish processing facilities'.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta held bilateral discussions with his host PM @JustinTrudeau of Canada on the margins of the #WD2019 conference in Vancouver. The President thanked the PM for Canada's role in the successful hosting of the Sustainable Blue Economy held last year in Nairobi,” read a tweet by State House.

While in Canada, President Kenyatta promised to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) before leaving office in 2022. He was addressing participants at the Women Deliver Conference 2019.

Miguna Miguna has been a strong critic of President Kenyatta and his Jubilee administration.
