A woman who allegedly burnt her 10 year-old house girl in Bulla Madina area of Garissa County has finally arrested.
The woman identified as Binta Hussein Omar was arrested by police together with another accomplice Salat Abdille Omar, who jointly subjected the minor to bodily harm.
The arrest follows revelations by the writer who visited the ten-year old girl Sowda Hassan Ibrahim at the Garissa Hospital last week where she had been admitted at ward 5.
The matter was picked up by an organisation dubbed "Find Real Me Kenya' who lobbied for the arrest and subsequent prosecution of the perpetrators.
Speaking to this writer at the hospital, the minor had revealed that her employer came home in the evening only to find that she had not prepared her favourite dish and that is when she descended on her.
It is now expected that due prosecution process will be followed to give justice to the minor who is gradually recuperating in the health facility.
