Kameme FM's Mzee Kiengei has proved to be a force to reckon with in the short duration he has tickled us through our mornings as we prepare for the day ahead.

And if you think this is all exaggeration, try even to tickle five people leave alone masses and you will realise how an uphill task it can turn out to be.

That said, many can agree that this comedian has a great sense of humour that many other comedians of his ilk can only dream of.

But what distinguishes Kiengei from the rest? Well, it all depends on what you term as funny or humorous. However, we can agree on a number of things about this particular comedian who co-hosts the Kameme breakfast show, 'Arahuka'.

Creative: What defines any successful comedian anywhere is his/her ability to come up with new ideas/jokes that their audience can relate and identify with. The comedian must, therefore, have a good grasp of his/her audience to be able to tickle them. Kiengei seems to understand this.

Updated: A comedian who is behind the latest news headlines, social media trends among other recent happenings, is not worth the title of a comedian. A radio breakfast show requires that the host be well updated and knowledgeable on recent events without excuse. Mzee Kiengei doesn't sound lacking in this aspect.

Natural: Kiengei seems to understand that his audience expects him to be funny at all times and therefore, allows humour to roll off his tongue. He doesn't seem to struggle in making his listeners laugh.

Quick to think: The comedian is not only funny but also witty. He is able to think fast and respond to a comment or a question from his co-host or a call-in listener in a humorous way. Not many comedians are able to do this, the reason why some rehearse their jokes.
