Outspoken Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has asked her supporters to be calm, adding that she will maneuver and emerge victorious in her tribulations.
The second term legislator is facing murder probe following the killing of and ODM supporter a couple of days ago during Ganda ward by-election.
Orange Democratic Movement party has accused her of causing fracas which led to the death of one Ngumbao Jola, an uncle to Ganda MCA Reuben Katana.
Speaking at Magarini on Friday, Ms Jumwa said 'nothing will stop her from defending her people even if she's jailed by the authorities'.
"We have been disrespected as a people for a long time. We are not taken seriously. Even if you lock me several times, I'll come out and defend the Mijikenda people. I will never get tired," she said.
"The coast people need one who will protect and defend their rights. We must stand and say enough is enough. We are very tired. Please don't feel sorry for me, I will overcome."
A section of Kilifi County MPs have been pushing for her removal from Parliament. They accuse her of engineering the violence that left the man dead.
Kilifi North MP Owen Baya warned that Jumwa's days in politics are numbered, arguing that her best days are now long gone in county politics.
"Aisha viewed herself as a leader who had reached the top of the politics sphere but her days are numbered. We shall tackle her ourselves in Malindi by-election once she is recalled by constituents," he said.
