Sleuths from the office of the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Saturday recovered five suspected stolen vehicle engines at Rurii market in Juja Sub-county.
The detectives collaborated with their colleagues from the DCI offices in Juja to recover the machines after they were given a tip off by the members of the general public.
DCI has since appealed to the public to visit the Juja Police Station in order to verify whether the machines belong to them.
"Today, @DCI_Kenya Special Service Unit officers in conjunction with DCI Juja officers acting on a tip-off from members of the public recovered five suspected stolen motor vehicle engines at Rurii market in Juja Sub-county," DCI said.
The detectives also revealed that manhunt for the suspects has been launched, adding that suspects will be brought to book with immediate effect once they are traced.
"Those who may have lost their engines are advised to visit Juja police station. Further investigations ongoing as the pursuit for the suspects involved intensifies," DCI added.
