MPs in Nakuru County have endorsed Senator Susan Kihika for the county’s governorship seat in 2022 General Election.
The six MPs said they are ready to support Kihika to be the next governor for Nakuru come 2022.
The six MPs who include Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, Subukia MP Samuel Gachobe, Nakuru Women Rep Liza Chelule, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara and Njoro MP Charity Kathambi were speaking at Nakuru ASK showground.
Gikaria said Senator Kihika is fit to succeed Governor Lee Kinyanjui in 2022 for the Nakuru gubernatorial seat.
Gikaria said they are ready to support her because her father, Kihika Kimani, was one of the politicians who brought development and ensured the people of Nakuru benefitted from his work.
Kathambi echoed Gikaria’s sentiments saying its time for Kihika to take the top seat in the county.
“I shall walk with the senator and support her. She is a true leader,” said Kathambi as quoted by standardmedia.co.ke.
Chelule urged women to support Kihika come 2022 saying her office has done much for the people especially women.
“Don’t forget that we have an iron lady who should be our next governor. Her office has no development kitty but she has done much to help women,” said Chelule.
Kihika said she was ready for the top seat and asked county leaders and residents to support her in the next general elections.
“We will need the support of everyone in this county. That is why all these MPs have supported me. I introduce them to you as my friends,” said Kihika.
