Controversial Nairobi businessman Francis Mburu who is linked to the Sh3.2 Billion Ruaraka land scandal has refuted claims that nominated senator Millicent Omanga was among senators who allegedly solicited for Sh1000 million from him to write a favorable report.

In an interview with journalists in Nairobi on Wednesday, Mburu said that media reports that Omanga was among the four senators who solicited for money from him are false.

“I can confirm that Hon Millicent Omanga was not part of the senators who solicited for Sh100 bribery from me,” he said.

Mburu who is under investigation in regards to the Ruaraka land declined to name the senators who asked him for a bribe.

“The report is with Director of Criminal Investigations and they are the people you should contact if you want to know,” he said.

There have been media reports that senator Omanga was allegedly among the four Senate lawmakers who allegedly asked for money from the city businessman.

Mburu alleges that the senators who were acting on behalf of their colleagues approached him asking for the money.
