Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has suffered a major blow after elected MPs in the county disowned his 'rogue' leadership.
The MPs Joash Nyamoko of North Mugirango, Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose and County MP Jerusha Momanyi while speaking at a funeral at Nyansiongo area on Friday claimed that Nyagarama's administration is full of impunity.
"Nyagarama has failed to deliver to the electorates. We will not side with him because he is misusing public funds instead of using the money to initiate development projects in the county," said Nyamoko.
He accused county MCAs for failing to oversight Nyagarama's style of leadership.
"MCAs have been bribed by Nyagarama so that he can continue. It is high time the people of Nyamira to get development or Nyagarama to pack and go," he added.
Mose protested high levels of graft in the county.
"Corruption is at the peak and Nyagarama is doing nothing. No elected leader will support a corrupt governor. The electorates must see the fruits of devolution," he noted.
Ms. Momanyi said Nyamira locals may be forced to go on rampage to push Nyagarama to perform.
"Public hospitals have no drugs and poor services are being offered because nurses have not been paid allowances. Nyagarama must wake up from his deep sleep," she noted.
She reiterated that they can't sit and watch Nyagarama's 'poor' leadership style.
