Kanu chairman Gideon Moi seems to be gearing up for the 2022 general election in a fantastic fashion albeit the fact that he has not publicly announced his intentions to vie.

The Baringo Senator is reportedly siding with leaders of the Jubilee party, who have shown discontent in the Jubilee party set up.

Moi's camp is embarking on a quest to wrestle the Rift Valley region from DP Rutos grasp and is thought to be very determined to ensure it comes to fruition.

The list grows every day but one notable member of Moi's growing battalion is Moiben Member of Parliament Silas Tiren.

The lawmaker has been specifically critical of the Deputy President after seeing his Chairmanship of the National Assembly Agriculture Committee scrapped in demeaning circumstances.

As such, he is siding with Moi and they have been seen together in various functions across the country.

He has vowed to ensure the DP's support in the Rift Valley region dims at any cost.

His could be called a public smear campaign against Ruto but he is proving just too determined.

Mr Tiren is also specifically critical of the Jubilee party's bid to market the DP in Rift Valley while brushing aside the needs of the locals, most of whom are farmers.

“Why should we talk about 2022 when our people are suffering due to unsettled dues for produce they delivered to NCPB? We should not talk about 2022 when our people are suffering. People should not see us (rebels) as people who are being used politically. We will work with whoever is ready to address the welfare of the farming community,” said Mr Tiren in an address to The Nation in a thin-veiled dig at Ruto.

Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter is also a known ally of Moi and has had a public fall out with Ruto as well as the Jubilee administration.

Moi sees him as a worthy member of his team.

The science persists but the question still remains, will or will they not succeed in taking the country's top office come 2022?
