University students have taken to social media to share their disappointments with the university kitchens, commonly known as 'mess', for what they perceived as poor service delivery.
Pwani University students are threatening to stop buying foods from the main campus kitchen until the management addresses the 'messes' they are allegedly facing.
They said they waste too much of their time queuing in the kitchen during meals and that much of their time is wasted while waiting for utensils.
Students are allegedly 'forced' to make queues to pay for foods, queue to be served with what they would have bought and then make another queue, to wait for spoons before preceding to the dining tables.
"What kind of shit is this may fair ventures???? Pwani university is giving tenders to cripled companies. Comrades are waiting for spoons for one hour, with all their wisdom. From today we should resist mess like a pregnant university slayqueen.let them cook their food and eat it coz they think we cant eat outside the school. Na ntakuwa rada nione kesho watu wanaingia mess," read a post on The Pwani University we want Facebook page.
The post elicited mixed reactions from students, with some requesting the university administration to address the raised problems.
