President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured Barbadian investors that his government is ready to create an ideal environment for them to invest in the country.
The president asked the investors to consider investing their money in Kenya, adding that opportunities are endless.
The Head of State said there is an enabling environment in Kenya to cater for the needs of both local and foreign investors who want to thrive in various areas of specialization.
"Kenya is open for business. Kenya is ready for business. We want to partner with you and we believe that our partnership will be mutually beneficial,” he said.
He observed that his administration has put in place different measures including the legalisation of investments to make it easy for businessmen to start and run business in the country.
President Kenyatta divulged that his government has also entered into various treaties with Barbados with the aim of ensuring there is an enabling environment for them to thrive in business.
“Kenya is an entry point into the African market and if your businesses come to Kenya, they will get access to an African population of 1.2 billion,” President Kenyatta said as quoted by Standard.
“Kenya is a member of the East African Community, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and has ratified the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA)," he added.
