In a statement to newsrooms shared by renowned journalist Hussein Mohamed on his Twitter feed, the government termed the Canadian-based lawyer as an unruly passenger who would threaten the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) A1 categorization.

Miguna has therefore been urged to present himself to any Kenyan mission to get his travel documents before he can be allowed to travel back to Kenya.

The state argued that the self-declared general had not made any effort to obtain his travel documents.

"Further his unruly behaviour was seen to have the potential of threatening category A1 of JKIA which took the country a lot of effort and work to achieve. This category certifies that we have put in place all the necessary safety and security measures in all our airports. This is an accomplishment that we committed to jealously protect

The government is aware of a court ruling and is ready to comply. However, according to ICAO, a passenger must have valid travel documents. Dr Miguna is free to present himself at any Kenyan mission to obtain his passport, " the statement read in part.

Miguna Miguna is currently stranded at a German airport after being ejected from an Air France plane.

The government update is the latest twist in what is shaping up to be a gripping legal drama.
