Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday showed his humility to the residents of Kawangware when he abandoned his convoy to interact with the locals.

Ruto who had earlier on attended a service at the Revival-Sanctuary of Glory Church decided to take a walk around the area while greeting the residents.

In one of the photos on his twitter handle, DP Ruto is seen buying shoes decorated with the colours of the Kenyan flag from a woman. 

The deputy president is seen leaning towards the woman in an effort to listen to her while shaking her hand. 

This is not the first time that Ruto has stopped his convoy to buy a product from local traders. He previously stopped his car in Budalangi to buy roasted maize.

According to the deputy president, the skills of such traders are required in accomplishing the big four agendas. 

“We require skilled and competent youths, who will provide labour and expertise during the construction phase of the affordable housing project, under the Big Four,” Ruto twitted.

At one point when he was addressing he residents, the deputy president gave one of the youths in the audience he microphone.

The deputy president has in the recent days been traversing the country to interact with the locals while championing the big four agendas.
