Garissa Woman Representative Anab Subow Gure on Saturday visited Dagega residents of Fafi sub-county to distribute food and non-food supplies as her Ramadhan visits continue.
Speaking to the residents who had migrated to the area in search of water, the vocal female politician assured the pastoralist households that she would reach to the county governor to have him increase the number of water pans in the area.
"Having personally assessed the situation here, I appeal to our county government under the leadership of Ali Korane to urgently increase the number of boreholes in the county, especially in those areas where nomadic households flock during the dry seasons," Gure said.
Dagega area prides in hosting one of the biggest water pans in the county.
Even as the holy of Ramadhan fast gets into its last half, the Woman Rep has been reaching to the locals of Garissa to share food rations as per the Islamic doctrines.
On Friday, she visited Sankuri secondary school where she treated students and teachers to a wonderful Iftar dinner.
Across Garissa, politicians have been traversing the county treating locals to Iftar meals. Earlier this week, Korane visited Garissa barracks among other learning institutions where he donated dates.
