Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has announced a number of leadership changes.
The changes come after Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Joseph Kasaon resigned from the force.
The changes announced on Tuesday will see Kenya Army commander Lieutenant General RobertKibochi replace Kasaon.
President Uhuru Kenyatta made the changes after he accepted General Kasaon resignation on medical grounds.
In another change, Kenya Navy Major General AS Farah was appointed as the Director of Military intelligence(DMI). He replaces Major General Charles Mwai.
Major General Thomas Chepkuto who is the head of special programmes at the Defence headquarters will hold the office of the DMI in the meantime.
Spokesperson Colonel David Obonyo was promoted to the rank of brigadier and as the deputy of DMI.
