Speaking during an interview on NTV, the vocal lawmaker said that MPs ganged up against her and other legislators allied to the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as they opposed the passing of the motion.

She said that her attempts to reach the speaker of the national assembly proved futile as the members tried to block her.

She narrated the ordeal, claiming that the lawmakers undressed her during the process as she made her way to parliament.

"What actually happened was that I was beaten by men and undressed by men. Do you believe I undressed? I was beaten and you know Millie is thick headed. They were stopping us from reaching the speaker who was somewhere like you. When we're coming from here Jubilee were more than us.

"So none of us could reach the speaker. So when we went there Moses Kuria alinitwanga hapa (hit me)," she said while pointing at her forehead.

The lawmaker also said that it is unfortunate that women are looked down upon in the field of politics.

She, however, encouraged women to stand and fight for their rights.
