A middle aged man is being held at Magombo police stati for allegedly stealing from a church.
Residents said, Albert Nyabuto, broke into a local church and stole a sound system, amplifiers among other equipment.
“Nyabuto stole church instruments and hid them in his house on Tuesday night.
"A search was launched and the instruments were found hidden in his house,” said area Chief David Kobingi.
Kobingi said Nyumba Kumi officials, who were searching the instruments, arrested the suspect and surrendered him to his office.
He assured that the suspect will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
“The suspect will be taken to court on Thursday to be charged and serve as an example to the rest who are thieves in the area,” he noted.
He challenged local youths against venturing into criminals activities saying the law will catch up with them.
