The famous Kakamega twins, Sharon Mitekwa and Melon Lutenyo will not sue Kakamega County Referral Hospital, as reported early revealed the family spokesperson.
The twins who were speaking to the press on Monday, a day after their DNA results were released pointed out that they have forgiven the hospital where they were born and got separated in 1999.
They further noted that they will not be asking for any compensation for the damage done in their lives.
“Kakamega hospital we forgive you and we are not going to sue; we are not going to ask for any type of compensation. I want to thank all who have been helping us in this journey,” said Melon as quoted by Citizen Digital.
The twins' father Wilson Lutah Maruti on his part stated that their family is concerned on how to keep their girls together.
“We have three children… the girls will not be separated, they will be together and if possible when we get a sponsor we will put them up in one school,” said Maruti.
Melon and Sharon knew of one another's existence through Facebook. It took two months for a DNA test at Lancet Kenya to reveal that they are truly blood sisters even after their striking resembles.
