Nairobi Governor has now come clear on what happened to his daughter Saumu Mbuvi and Lamu Senator Loitiptip in the fateful night.
According to Sonko, the 'system' is responsible for what happened.
Speaking through a live Facebook, the Governor narrated how goons, guided by a police officer had planned the attack on his daughter only for the people watching the football game to come to the rescue of his daughter.
Unfortunately, the Lamu Senator Sustained injuries in the attack.
"On the night of 1st June at Memphis Kasarani where my daughter was watching football together with Lamu Senator and other guys, eight goons armed with pangas and machetes were with a policewoman. It is the policewoman who showed the goons where my daughter is.
"When my daughter was headed to the toilet, they tore her clothes and wanted to attack her. It is then that my daughter screamed for help and the people who were watching the game come to the rescue of my daughter. In the process, the Lamu Senator was attacked with pangas. The incident occurred around midnight," The Governor narrated.
Governor Sonko further says her daughter reported the case to Kasarani police station the same night and was given the OB number. After investigation, David Kombo was arrested and taken to court only to be released on a cash bail of ksh20, 000 according to governor Sonko.
The outspoken governor suggested that the 'system' was targetting to threaten him by attacking his daughter and also the same system is trying to hide and temper with the investigation by allowing the convicted person in the crime to walk free after a bail of 20,000 despite the Senator being in ICU.
