The DP has over the weekend severally attacked the former Prime Minister, accusing him of among others, attempting to wreck the ruling Jubilee Party for personal political reasons.

Speaking in Kabaci village in Embu county on Saturday, the DP further urged Kenyans to consider Raila in prayers, branding him a confused political leader.

"I think Kenyans should seek divine intervention for Mr Odinga so that he can stop behaving in a funny way," he said.

In response on Sunday, Atandi said that its actually the Deputy President who needs prayers, listing a number of crimes he claimed that DP has been engaging in.

"Between Him and Raila Odinga, who needs serious prayers? Speak of corruption, land grabbing, murder in his eyes are so conspicuous," he responded.

The first term lawmaker is among the most vocal defenders of the former Premier.

Ruto has since revived his attacks on Raila after ninyths of silence, and has been hostile towards the veteran politicians since his 2018 truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Raila has kept clear of the DP's latest attacks.
